The Circus Affair-------------Good Morning Dolls

Good Morning Dolls!!!

Positive is definitely the word of the week in the office of 2Republic Events. We are definitely a team that believes in pushing the limit until the end to see dreams, imaginations, and let’s just say your creation to come true for your events. These past months have been very hectic and at the same time so enjoyable! As you most likely know at 2Republic Events two ladies call the shots, however when we decided to embark on this new project, with a team of seven guys and one girl who go by the name of "Da Wreckin' Crew". We realize the beauty surrounding working with seven gentlemen and one lovely woman.  Da Wreckin’ Crew was given this name, due to the fact that wherever they go, they do not only have a great time, they wrecked the event through their jokes, their dances, their charisma, and even by bringing their own seasoning into a party who may not have been planned by them. The key importance is also to know that this crew is not only made of seven guys plus one girl but rather of anyone who decides to join them at a particular time.  Da Wreckin’ Crew has been around for years now and perhaps sometimes even us the ladies of 2Republic Events in different occasion may have been part of this crew. From the house parties, to the hotel parties, in collaboration with 2Republic Event and in association with the Concordia Caribbean Student Union we bring you a party in a different type of location. Some may say it looks like a loft, others may call it a dance studio, or simple a hall. The simplicity is in the details of this artsy venue referred to as Espaces Des Arts.

The Circus before Halloween "After Party" is a concept which came from one of us while thinking about one music video which you may have seen or even heard, Circus by Britney Spears! There is something about this video who made us believe we can try to use some of the elements and have our own circus (minus the elephants, and other tricks of course) Halloween is known to be scary, but perhaps bringing a circus theme will make you step out of your won skin and be part of our own circus. We will not say anymore about what kind of perks you may expect to discover. We are just inviting you to come enjoy a great night with not only music from different parts of the world but to come enjoy our company. Come laugh, drink, dance, show off your costume and smile, in other words we are inviting you to come Embrace the Experience!

Having said that we need to also spread the word about a few events which will be happening sometime in November and December :

-The Gala which goes by the name of “A Touch of Gold” where 2Republic Events was hired for its services. This exclusive event is one you should definitely look into December 18, 2010.

-For those getting married or aspiring ideas “Le Boudoir” is definitely an event you do not want to miss on December 5, 2010.

We hope you will have not only a great weekend but a safe one!

We are also wishing luck and great fun to all our friends, and Business partners who will be hosting their own events on Saturday October 30, 2010. (let us tell you---so many stops to make on Saturday)

Once again we love what we do in the office of 2Republic Events and we are looking forward in seeing you all on Friday October 29, 2010 at “The Circus Before Halloween”

Until then XOXO

THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX----- Think about your event!

Fashion is definitely a place where one can find deep inspiration for preparing an event. The ladies of 2Republic are huge fans of Coco Channel, for the simple reason that she embodies what fashion has evolved to in this century of ours. When thinking of an event, we cannot help but think of the fashion elements that we would love it to be influence by. Ralph Laurent stated:
“I don’t design clothes, I design Dreams.”--- Do you see how this sentence of Mr. Ralph Laurent applies to our job as event planners? An event needs to be design in a way, where you forget where you are; where this dream of yours was made true by your fairies.
 Fashion+ Decorator+ Interior designer+ organization = Event Planner
Read this following quote:

“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”Coco Chanel

Planning an event can be compared to you picking a gown for an exclusive affair or even as simple as picking up your outfit to work  and going as far as  imagining you were the bride.
Take a pick:
Remember Fashion is to think outside the box  as when planning your event-----

Details matter.....Planning an event bring some sweets to the table

Four events to plan and so many venues to visit,  As was said in the previous note  most of the time it is in the details that one will be blown away by a specific venue.
Most of the time, talking from experience, a simple hall, club, backyard, loft,  is just not enough to make the event you want be all it can be. Yes it is in the details, you need the curtains, you need the flowers, the different elements that go hand and hand with your theme which will in turn make your event what you want it to be “special.”
The decor of the sweets can also play a major role in creating the proper atmosphere even when planning a simple get together or a house warming party in the comfort of your home.  Having the cupcakes, macarons’, jars of candies, the cannolis’, the different deserts, the candles, the games ect ect ....trust us when we say it will definitely create a memorable night for every single one of your guests.

Details matter, pay attention to the details when planning your event.
Be inspired by your favorite movies, fashion designer, and everything else that makes you dream.
Embrace the experience

A Thank You Note ----------------

Good Afternoon Dolls!
As we are preparing to send back to Haiti what you have help us collect. We are again reaching out our warm appreciation once again. By not only telling you thank you, but  for giving you a little summary of what you were part of on August 28, 2010 and what you may have missed if you did not get the opportunity to attend.

The team 2Republic Events had an amazing and very successful night and we can only hope that all of you who attended, enjoyed all the perks as much as we did. For those who were unable to come, rest assure that you will be able to embrace the experience as we are already planning our next event.

We would like to express to all those who attended, and donated with all their hearts how thankful, both 2Republic Events and Mains Ouvertes are for your generosity. Not only did we meet the objective of collecting the monetary funds for the foundation, which they will receive in two weeks. They will also receive four huge boxes filled with male and female shoes, to be distributed to those in need back in Haiti. Last, they will also receive all your school supplies that many who donated were eager to provide. Again on behalf of both, the foundation Mains Ouvertes and 2Republic Events, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

This night was made even more special when, the artists and speakers who were invited to perform, not only performed but really touched every single soul present that night. From the creole sound of Capo who sang about the reality of our feelings towards Haiti and let’s just say the earthquake. Then to Kym Dominique Ferguson whose poetry made some of us shed a tear or two. As the sound of his voice screaming and speaking were enough to make us see the reality that surrounded his poem; then we had Farid Reason Charles, who spoke beautifully about his experience while visiting Haiti and explained to the invitees how important it was to help this country. Than to the group who always amaze us while dancing, West Can. Than we went on to have Nella whose acoustic sound just made everyone crack a smile. To finish it all we had Miss Zina the beautiful singer who chose to speak about how she was a Haitian by spirit and what Haiti and its beautiful culture meant to her. She brought us to laughter, smile, and sometimes deep thinking. Let’s not forget Jaqueline and her daughter, who on the spot decided to add a little Spanish taste to our event. Beautiful you all were and from the bottom of our hearts we thank you, once again.

To our sponsors:

╚ New Regime, Endegee, XDGL, Madpoetix Production, Aldo & Spring Shoes, Jojo Starz, DJ Dax Thank you all!

We will continue receiving donation for another two weeks and if you are interested in seeing the items we have, please feel free to contact us.

Saturday was definitely an experience to embrace and we are grateful that you chose to share it with us.
Yes Dolls it was a long message, but I am positive and sure you can understand why.

Muah!!!

Until the next event, keep smiling and Embrace the experience with us.

Why? Reasons why we are doing our Launch through giving back!

In Life everything comes with a price, however as my partner and I have decided to have our own event planning company, the price tag we go by is at 0 dollars. We believe that life is a cycle and that giving back in general is essential. However, for the ladies of 2Republic Events giving back to Haiti and Dominican Republic is much more important than going on a shopping spree. (Not that we would mind, just that at this point of our lives we understand that our priorities is not in that area.)

Today we open our doors and introduce ourselves through one key element: one involving supporting a local foundation from one of our beloved countries, Haiti. We decided to help a local foundation, located in Haiti as we believe in the hard work which Mrs Pun, who I refer as mama Pun has been laying. She is in no doubt a mother to these many kids and making sure that they are well taken care of.
The trick in all of this is, that we have decided to support this foundation while bringing you 2Republic Events which services main goals is to help individuals plan their own events. Yes we adore planning any kind of events, from a conference, to a talent show, a wedding, first communion, fashion show and the list goes on. Our main objective is to make your dream come true. However, on August 28th we have decided to make the dream of not only Mama Pun but of her many children come true. By helping us raise as much money as possible, or by simply providing school supplies you will be contributing in making their dreams come true.

Haiti was never a simple country. After the earth quake it seems that its previous complications is not even where we should begin explaining the pain, and obstacles, which this country have experience for hundreds of years. Haiti is one of the poorest countries of the world and now even as a simple Haitian I myself have asked myself "what now? The poorest or the----- fill in the blank..) Meaning what should we say now?" Putting the negative a side, as Haitians we always believed we weren’t the poorest as our culture is deeply rooted and rich. Our beautiful beaches, mountains and our beautiful peoples who keep smiling no matter what, is the reason why our head are still standing high and still, we believe in a better Haiti.

Yes I do know we have digressed, however today we are taking a small step in helping our Haitian brothers and sisters. We are helping the foundation Mains Ouvertes feed these children, by raising money for them. As they are not only the children of the country we so much love but our hope for a better tomorrow.

You can help us help them in 3 ways:

1. By bringing School Supplies

2. By Donating monetary funds (whatever your pockets allow you to do)

3. By taking part in our lovely Auction

WE must say that we have items which were donated to us from different part of the world, Haiti, New York, Miami, Mexico, and Montreal...

Please take a look at some of the items which will be at our fundraiser on August 28.

Some of the pillows by Kreyations by Claire Pun were donated for this Auction

Many more pics will be posted Friday August 27, 2010 during the day---- we hope to see you on August 28th
