Congratulations you're engaged! Now what?!? This is a time for your family and friends to come together and celebrate your engagement! The big question is what kind of party should it be? Very glamorous or very simple? Should there be a theme or not? Here are some ideas...

Black & White theme engagement party

Black and white screams classy and also gives it a feel of the 1940s era. You can also have guests dressed in black and white to fit in with the decor.

Cocktail theme engagement party

Keeping it simple
Maybe you don't want to fuss about to many details, that is why keeping it simple could work best for you! An idea can be an at-home engagement party, especially in the summer your backyard can be the perfect location!

FALL-ing in Love!

Because we all go through changes...

We hope you did not miss us as much as we missed you.We have so many things to share with you, so many experiences that have led us to where we are now. Where should we start? What's your favorite season of the year? We don't really have any, they are all so beautiful and unique in their own way that it makes it very difficult to choose one.One thing we can say, is that FALL is one of our favorites. So many changes occur, so many emotions, trends and colors arise. Its like this fusion between hot and cold stuck in the middle and it has nowhere to go, so it just creates this florescent independent beauty!

Do you believe in change? Do you  believe in the transformation and growth of the human being? We do, and we think that everything in life is about experiences that allow us to independently become who we are or who we want to be. As event planners that is one of our objectives, to grow and to create experiences for each and everyone of you. To remind you about the beauty of life and of all the smallest things within it.

Take this image for example, what do you see? A sidewalk in Old Port Montreal filled with dry leaves? What do we see? We see magic, we see a perfect runway for a fashion show or a creative wedding ceremony! As they say "If you look deeper beneath the dirt the rarest treasure you will find". That is one of our virtues, to work with raw materials and with things that others might not usually use and fall allows us to do that.

We want to encourage you to FALL in love! To embrace this experience called life and to understand that every second counts. Whether your the groom proposing to your lovely fiancé, or the grand-daughter planning her grandmothers 80th birthday, embrace that experience and understand that it can only happen once.

As we embark to what it is the 2 final months of the year we invite you to spend it in peace by taking advantage of the things that surround you, such as family, friends, nature etc. For instance the month of October is one where we have two main events: Thanksgiving and Halloween. Yes, Halloween! That is another entry on its on, but we as event planners we enjoy it, there are tons of fun ideas and events that can be done.

As most of you know, we love events but what we love the most is the face of satisfaction and joy that our clients express. As we stated in the beginning, we all go through changes and thus far 2Republic's metamorphosis is about to flourish. We invite you to get to know us, to visit our website that is in the mist of being embellished and understand that all we bring to you are experiences

So how about it? Let's FALL in love!

Did you say Event planning and Fashion? Why the connection...it is in the details

Fashion in Events is definitely a Must

Two quotations by two different fashion Gurus, yet as each quotes stand a lone, they are both so interconnected to each other. Read between the lines my dear reader, Coco Channel whispers in your ears “Fashion fade, only style remains the same.” Where as Yves St Laurent yells it to you “Fashion fade, style is eternal;”  Here you have it, whether you are looking at a wedding dress, or the regular black dress, understand that to the style you will evoke in all the details of your events is what will be remembered by your guests and most importantly by you.

Marchesa Gowns

Marchesa Gowns

Fashion do fades, as both Channel and Yves St Laurent pointed out. Fashion fades so quickly, it fades at the same rhythm as the clock is ticking.  When you, the bride or groom reading this, will decide on the details that will represent you on your wedding day. Think deeply about the details not only about what is in this year in 2011 but in the style you have in you which will bring all those elements together and make your event one to remember. Where you can say this is exactly what I wanted; where your guests will enjoy every element of your wedding day with you.

Be different in incorporate Lively colors in your events

Coco Channel started her success a non rich girl, with a passion, a fire to provide a style where ladies would enjoy comfort. We speak of Coco as if we knew her, simply because as 2R ladies, we understand what Coco Channel did for the evolution of fashion. As we often express to you, planning an event is very well connected to the fashion world. The details matters, when planning your weddings, a baby shower, a diner, an engagement party, or just a birthday party. The elements which will stand out will be in the small details:

For a country outdoor picnic- BBQU style wedding

For a country outdoor picnic- BBQU style wedding - make your own drinks

Cololrs do make a difference dont be afraid to try something new!!

For a country outdoor picnic- BBQU style wedding

This is why we have provided you with all sorts of interesting ideas which will help you understand that you do not need to limit yourself to what is in fashion in the year of your event. However tap into that style fashionista that is innate in you. Dare to be different.
Keep in mind that each of these can be incorporated in any kind of events. Remember that the theme of your events can play a part in those; however we strongly believe that anything can fit a high profile in door wedding or event in general to a low profile outdoor country side wedding or event. Understand that it is all in how you use that touch of style. Style remains eternal in every shape and form. Whether in designing, your wedding, your child birthday, baptism, bar mitzvah…A baby shower, a bacheloretter, a New Years eve party, a birthday party…

An Indian Wedding----An Indian Event

This is indeed India! The land of dreams and romance, of fabulous wealth and fabulous poverty, of splendour and rags, of palaces and hovels, of famine and pestilence, of genii and giants and Aladdin lamps, of tigers and elephants, the cobra and the jungle, the country of hundred nations and a hundred tongues, of a thousand religions and two million gods, cradle of the human race, birthplace of human speech, mother of history, grandmother of legend, great-grandmother of traditions, whose yesterday's bear date with the modering antiquities for the rest of nations-the one sole country under the sun that is endowed with an imperishable interest for alien prince and alien peasant, for lettered and ignorant, wise and fool, rich and poor, bond and free, the one land that all men desire to see, and having seen once, by even a glimpse, would not give that glimpse for the shows of all the rest of the world combined.~~~ Mark Twain

India has attracted endless poets, scientists, philosophers, political leaders, as well as religious leaders. Today as Event Planners and Coordinators the charm existing in its landscape, culture, has captivated our attention and imagination in creating a perfect event. As the 2R ladies long to one day visit this country for we would love to experience first hand what this land who brought us Bollywood  can teach us, we decided to bring India to your event.

Have you ever sat down and enjoy a great “Bollywood” movie? We assure you, if you have not yet experience it, please do and once you have, this will help you understand why a Theme Indian Event will be inspired from just an Indian Movie.

The details existing in  Indian theme weddings are just as magnificent, unique and particular as is the culture in itself. The same detailed ideas which are present in Indian weddings can be translated into any event you are planning.
Ie: Birthday, bachelorette, engagement party, networking event, cooperate, and the list goes on...

From the beautiful pillows, sari, bangels, cake, lanterns, food, music, jewels, and many more ... lets just say,  the colors are enough to make your event stand out and definitely be unique!  You will enable your guest to EMBRACE THE EXPERIENCE!  2R ladies little secret to you, whether you are from India or not, is to let yourself  be inspired by this culture and have a blast at your wedding or even at any event your planning.

The Circus Affair-------------Good Morning Dolls

Good Morning Dolls!!!

Positive is definitely the word of the week in the office of 2Republic Events. We are definitely a team that believes in pushing the limit until the end to see dreams, imaginations, and let’s just say your creation to come true for your events. These past months have been very hectic and at the same time so enjoyable! As you most likely know at 2Republic Events two ladies call the shots, however when we decided to embark on this new project, with a team of seven guys and one girl who go by the name of "Da Wreckin' Crew". We realize the beauty surrounding working with seven gentlemen and one lovely woman.  Da Wreckin’ Crew was given this name, due to the fact that wherever they go, they do not only have a great time, they wrecked the event through their jokes, their dances, their charisma, and even by bringing their own seasoning into a party who may not have been planned by them. The key importance is also to know that this crew is not only made of seven guys plus one girl but rather of anyone who decides to join them at a particular time.  Da Wreckin’ Crew has been around for years now and perhaps sometimes even us the ladies of 2Republic Events in different occasion may have been part of this crew. From the house parties, to the hotel parties, in collaboration with 2Republic Event and in association with the Concordia Caribbean Student Union we bring you a party in a different type of location. Some may say it looks like a loft, others may call it a dance studio, or simple a hall. The simplicity is in the details of this artsy venue referred to as Espaces Des Arts.

The Circus before Halloween "After Party" is a concept which came from one of us while thinking about one music video which you may have seen or even heard, Circus by Britney Spears! There is something about this video who made us believe we can try to use some of the elements and have our own circus (minus the elephants, and other tricks of course) Halloween is known to be scary, but perhaps bringing a circus theme will make you step out of your won skin and be part of our own circus. We will not say anymore about what kind of perks you may expect to discover. We are just inviting you to come enjoy a great night with not only music from different parts of the world but to come enjoy our company. Come laugh, drink, dance, show off your costume and smile, in other words we are inviting you to come Embrace the Experience!

Having said that we need to also spread the word about a few events which will be happening sometime in November and December :

-The Gala which goes by the name of “A Touch of Gold” where 2Republic Events was hired for its services. This exclusive event is one you should definitely look into December 18, 2010.

-For those getting married or aspiring ideas “Le Boudoir” is definitely an event you do not want to miss on December 5, 2010.

We hope you will have not only a great weekend but a safe one!

We are also wishing luck and great fun to all our friends, and Business partners who will be hosting their own events on Saturday October 30, 2010. (let us tell you---so many stops to make on Saturday)

Once again we love what we do in the office of 2Republic Events and we are looking forward in seeing you all on Friday October 29, 2010 at “The Circus Before Halloween”

Until then XOXO
